The rule is subject to certain exceptions such as marriage grant, orphan's allowance, children's allowance, care allowance, maternity benefit, medical assistance, supplementary allowance, bonus or additional bonus or injury pensions which continue to be receivable notwithstanding receipt of another pension.

لكن لهذه القاعدة بعض الشواذ مثل: منحة الزواج ومخصصات اليتيم والمخصصات العائلية ومخصصات الرعاية ومخصصات الأمومة والمساعدة الطبية والمخصصات الإضافية والمكافأة أو المكافأة الإضافية أو معاشات الإصابة، التي لا يمنع الحصول على غيرها من الحصول عليها.
Orphan's allowance and orphan's supplementary allowance Any person who is taking care of a child whose parents are both dead and whose parents or just one of them was an insured person and a citizen of Malta, shall be entitled to apply for an orphan's allowance amounting to Lm 13.24 per week for every child.

كل من يتولى رعاية طفل توفي أبواه وكان كلاهما أو أحدهما مشمولا بالضمان الاجتماعي ومواطنا مالطيا، فله الحق في طلب مخصصات يتيم عادية مبلغها الأسبوعي 13.24 ل م لكل طفل.
